Boy, 14, bailed over factory fire

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and bailed in connection with a fire at a disused factory in Northamptonshire.

The fire service was called to the former knife factory in Shirley Road, Rushden on Monday night, and it took nine crews to tackle the blaze.

The area, which includes a residential development, had to be evacuated.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said a teenager had been arrested in connection with the fire and released on bail pending further enquiries.
