Three charged over man's kidnap

Three people have been charged with the kidnap of a man in Northampton.

A 24-year-old man is due before Northampton Magistrates' Court and two boys aged 17 and 15 have been bailed to appear there on Friday 24 July.

The incident involved a 21-year-old man who was forced into a car on Saturday night and taken to Bellrope Square in Ecton Brook.

He was assaulted in the street before being taken into a house and told to hand over money, police said.

The man was eventually taken to the Kings Heath area of the town and released. He suffered minor injuries in the assault.

The three people charged with kidnap are all from Northampton.
