Boy on bike killed in road crash

Connor suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene, police said

A 12-year-old was killed when he was hit by a Land Rover while cycling on a Northamptonshire road.

Connor Roche, of Eastfield Crescent, Finedon, was one of a small group of boys in Irthlingborough, cycling on the A6 near the Finedon Road junction.

The 12-year-old was hit by a Land Rover on Wednesday night and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police, who are appealing for witnesses, said Connor suffered serious head injuries.
