Community order for porn teacher

A music teacher from Northamptonshire has been given a community order after admitting downloading indecent photographs of children.

Robert Page, 56, of Cosgrove, was given the three-year order with a supervision requirement at Northampton Crown Court.

He was also ordered to complete a sex offenders programme.

Page, who has already signed the sex offenders' register, pleaded guilty in September to 12 counts of possessing and making indecent images of children.

The court heard he downloaded photographs between December 2006 and February this year.

Some of the indecent images, found on his computer when he was arrested on 8 February, were of the most severe type - including sadomasochism, torture, and bestiality.
