£200m PFI school project complete

A Private Finance Initiative (PFI) project to rebuild 11 schools and refurbish another 30 in Northamptonshire has been completed.

Babcock & Brown Public Partnerships has reported it has finished its work.

A spokesman said it was one of the UK's largest PFI schools projects and was carried out over three years. The £200m scheme was signed in December 2005.

Babcock & Brown Public Partnerships led a consortium of building contractors and a facilities management firm.
