Teenager arrested after stabbing

A man has been arrested after a 62-year-old was stabbed with a knife during a burglary at a caravan park.

The incident took place at 0100 GMT on Wednesday at a caravan in Billing Aquadrome caravan park in Northampton.

During the incident a 62-year-old man was stabbed in the hand with a knife and is being treated in Northampton General Hospital.

An 18-year-old man from Northampton was arrested in the morning on suspicion of aggravated burglary and GBH.

He will be interviewed in due course at Weston Favell police station.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police.
