Knife-wielding attacker steals TV

A knife-wielding burglar attacked a man before stealing his television and making off in a taxi, police said.

The incident took place in Rothersthorpe Road, Northampton, in the town early on Tuesday.

When the victim answered a knock on his door he was confronted by a man who demanded money and threatened and attacked him with a large knife.

A female accomplice then entered the property and stole a Technika LCD television and a Sony mobile phone.

The pair made off in a taxi and police officers are appealing for the taxi driver to come forward.

The attack left the victim with with minor cuts to a finger and arm.

The male offender was white, aged about 25, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build with light hair. He had blue eyes and wore silver framed glasses.

The female was white, about 18, of slim build, about 5ft 2in tall and had long black hair tied in a pony tail.
