Vomiting bug wards are re-opened

Three wards at a Northamptonshire hospital hit by a winter vomiting bug have re-opened to new admissions.

Last week, five wards at Kettering General Hospital were closed to new admissions after several cases of the Norovirus were found.

Hospital managers have said three of the wards affected - Deene B and C and Harrowden C - were now open again.

The hospital said it had stepped up cleaning procedures to help control the spread of the virus.

It said it hoped the two remaining wards will re-open later in the week.
