Pedestrian attacked by four men

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was attacked by four men as he walked along a Northampton street.

The 37-year-old man was walking along a path adjacent to Ringway at Briar Hill on Wednesday when he was approached from behind and punched to the head.

The thieves threatened the man and demanded money before stealing his rucksack and mobile phone.

They all had their faces covered, and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them.
