Arrest after sex attack on girl

A man has been arrested after a sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl.

The girl was assaulted in Newland Street, Kettering, on 12 October between 1600 and 1630 BST, a Northamptonshire Police spokesman said.

He said a 44-year-old man from Corby had been arrested in connection with the attack and was released on bail pending further inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police.
