Plants seized at cannabis factory

About 500 cannabis plants have been found at a house in Northampton.

Northamptonshire Police discovered the plants in the morning at a home in Spencer Bridge Road in the town.

The property is now being made safe before the plants, with a street value of £150,000, are taken away and the scene examined by forensic officers.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said following the raid that a 42-year-old man had been arrested in connection with drug offences.
