Weather grounds festival flights

Unfavourable weather conditions forced the cancellation of flights from the Northampton Balloon Festival on Saturday morning.

About a 250,000 people are expected to visit the town's racecourse for the event and it is hoped the balloons can take off later in the day.

The programme, which continues through Sunday, also includes a circus and children's farm.

The festival attracted 300,000 visitors last year.
