Road reopened after lorry spill

A stretch of road in Northamptonshire has been reopened after it was closed for a clear-up operation.

Police had shut a stretch of the A43 near Corby after a lorry shed a quantity of lime as it left the Weldon Industrial Estate.

The fire and rescue service and police had been working to reopen the southbound carriageway since 0730 BST.

The road was closed while the clear-up operation was under way but is now open in both directions.
