Three-storey house fire tackled

Dozens of firefighters tackled a blaze which broke out in a three-storey house in Northamptonshire.

The fire broke out in a flat on the second floor in Westminster Walk, Corby, on Wednesday night.

A bedroom was destroyed and there was smoke damage to other rooms in the house, a spokesman for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

The blaze was extinguished within half-an-hour by 25 firefighters from Corby, Kettering and Desborough.
