A contract to start work on a new rail station in Northamptonshire has been awarded and construction could begin within weeks.
A £1.8m contract for the infrastructure at Corby's new station has been given to Mainland Contractors of Kettering.
Starting in mid-March, the company will begin building the access road, transport interchange and car park.
Network Rail will build the station due for completion in December when trains between Corby and London start to run.
