Even expert climbers must take great care on Ben Nevis
A 50-year-old climber from Northamptonshire was brought to safety by his own walking party after falling 100m (325ft) on Ben Nevis.

The man slipped in icy conditions at Coire Leis on Scotland's highest peak.

Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, with a search and rescue helicopter from HMS Gannet in Prestwick, were called to take the injured man to hospital.

Police at Northern Constabulary said the man was taken to Belford Hospital with a non-serious spinal injury.
