Driver assaulted in 'road rage'

A driver in Northamptonshire has been assaulted in what police described as a road rage attack.

Two men, one driving a white Renault van and the other a black BMW car, were involved in an argument in Northampton at lunchtime on Thursday.

One of the drivers was assaulted during the argument on the Wellingborough Road between the Weston Favell Centre and Blackthorn, police said.

Police urged anyone who saw the assault to contact them.
