Murder victim driven to hospital
Scene of attack in Northampton
It is not known what prompted the attack, police said.
A murder victim was beaten and stabbed during a row in the street - and then driven to hospital in his own car.

Nehemiah Myrie, who was 24, was attacked in Alcombe Road, Northampton, on Friday night.

Mr Myrie was then taken to hospital by two men in his blue Volkswagen RS32 car, registration SH06HZD. He later died from his injuries.

Police are trying to identify the two men who came to the victim's aid and said they could have vital information.

Northants Police have launched a murder inquiry and appealed for the two, one said to be black and the other Asian, to contact them.

Phone box examined

A police spokeswoman said it was unclear why or how the altercation took place.

She said it was thought Mr Myrie had been using a phone box at about 2145GMT, on the corner of Kettering Road and Grove Road, and then briefly wandered into Alcombe Road.

A forensic examination of the car is taking place and the phone box has been sealed off for investigation.

House-to-house inquiries are taking place in the area, and police have urged anyone with information to contact them.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
