Labour lose more seats to Tories

The Conservatives have gained six seats at East Northamptonshire Borough Council with three of them coming from Labour ranks.

An independent candidate retained one seat as the Tories strengthened their numbers on the council from 33 to 39.

Labour had held power at the council between 1995 and 1999 - then the Tories regained leadership.

The Conservatives have remained in overall control ever since, winning the last three elections.
