Tories dominating Wellingborough

Conservatives have boosted their control of Wellingborough District Council still further taking three more seats off the Labour Party.

With Independents also taking a ward from Labour, the party of government power is reduced to four seats.

The opposition on the district council has also been reduced to six in the latest poll.

Labour lost the 36-seat council to the Tories in 2003 and have now fallen further behind.
