Man killed in road crash is named
A man who was killed when he was hit by a car on the A5 in Northamptonshire has been identified.

Luke FitzHerbert, 69, was walking in the carriageway with his wife when they were both struck by a Subaru Impreza, close to the Nether Heyford turn off.

Mr FitzHerbert, from Totnes, Devon, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was taken to Northampton General Hospital with serious leg injuries.

Mr FitzHerbert worked for the Directory of Social Change (DSC).

The organisation offers information and training for people working within the voluntary sector.

The DSC said of Mr FitzHerbert in an obituary on its website: "He was one of the single most influential people in our sector and will be sorely missed."
