Man remanded in sword murder case

Garth Muir died from a single stab wound
A 26-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed with a Samurai sword.

Garth Muir, 39, of Sargent Road, in Corby, Northants, died from a single stab wound at a house on the town's Hazel Leys estate on 16 May.

A second man, James Hunter, aged 38, was seriously injured in the incident.

Leon Hill, of Constable Road, Corby, is charged with Mr Muir's murder and the attempted murder of Mr Hunter. He was remanded in custody until 6 July.
