Drivers abducted in lorry hijack
Two men were abducted by a gang of masked, armed men after their lorry was hijacked in Northampton.

It happened as the Slovakian drivers were parked in a lay-by outside the Hilton Hotel on the A508 approach into Northampton early on Tuesday morning.

The men were bound and gagged and driven away in their lorry which was abandoned with them inside in Cheshire.

The gang of three or four men made off with a load of plasma-screen televisions which were in the lorry.

Televisions unloaded

The drivers said a vehicle pulled into the lay-by in front of them.

They were then approached by the men - at least one of them had a gun - who were wearing black caps or hoods and got into the lorry.

They were then driven in their own lorry to an unknown location where the televisions were unloaded. The lorry was eventually abandoned in Warrington.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northants Police.
