High Street, Daventry
Daventry District Council is Conservative controlled
The Conservative party has held on to overall control of Daventry Council in Northamptonshire.

The Daventry District Council election saw the Liberal Democrats gain one seat and the Conservatives gain one.

The gains were at the expense of Labour, which lost one seat and an independent also lost a seat.

The new council will be made up of 34 Tories, two Labour members and two Lib Dems. The Tories took power from no overall control in 2000.
