Salesman forced to hand over car

A car salesman from a Northampton garage was forced out of a Golf GTI at knifepoint by two men who had asked to test drive the car.

The men stopped the car near Park Avenue North before making him get out of the car.

They then drove off, leaving the salesman with a cut to his chin.

The pair are described as Asian. One was aged 19 or 20 and 5ft 7in tall. The second was aged 22 or 23, 5ft 11in tall with a goatee beard.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the blue VW Golf GTI 1.8 turbo, registration number X348 BBW, which was taken on Monday at about 1630 GMT.
