Second M1 accident within hours

An M1 carriageway has been closed for the second time in less than seven hours after two separate accidents.

Emergency services were alerted to a coach on fire near junction 15 in Northants at about 2030 BST on Wednesday. No-one was injured.

One lane of the southbound carriageway has been closed, police said.

The M1 in Hertfordshire has reopened after an 18-vehicle crash closed the motorway northbound for the afternoon. No-one was seriously hurt.
