Man dies five days after a crash

A man has died in hospital five days after an accident in which a car overturned on the M1 in Northants.

Two people were seriously injured in the crash near J16 on the northbound carriageway on Sunday morning.

The seriously injured man and woman were taken to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry by air ambulance.

The 22-year-old man from Middlesex died in hospital on Friday morning, but has still not been formally identified. The woman remains in a critical condition.
