Three lanes of M1 close for works

Up to three lanes of the M1 in Northants are to close for overnight work starting Monday to demolish and replace two bridge parapets.

The Rothersthorpe to Northampton Road and Kislingbury Grange Farm parapets north of junction 15A will be replaced.

The bridge fenders in the M1 central reservation will also be raised and connected to the existing safety barriers to improve safety.

Traffic will use the hard shoulder both northbound and southbound.

There will also be a 50mph speed limit at all times.

The farm track over the Kislingbury Grange bridge will be closed during the works and traffic control will be in place over the Rothersthorpe to Northampton Road Bridge.

The works should be completed by December.
