Overtaking will be banned at 'danger spots'

Thousands of pounds is to be spent on junction improvements on roads in Northamptonshire this year.
The county council plans safety work on 11 junctions at a cost of more than £70,000.
Councillor Jim Wade, the cabinet member responsible for highways, said the junctions were selected based on their accident records.
The A43 at Hannington is the first to be completed, with traffic islands and hatch marks to prevent overtaking.
Improvements doubled
Mr Wade said: "This is part of a series of junction improvements prompted by a head-on collision on the A508 at Cosgrove where a woman and child were killed.
"They were waiting to turn right and hit by an overtaking vehicle coming the other way in 2001."
He added: "I'm pleased we are carrying out these improvements and that we are planning to do more than twice as many as last year."
In 2003 five junctions were improved - all of them on the A508.
