A 10-year old girl and an 11-year-old girl have been charged with attempting to rob an elderly woman.
It follows an attack on a 66-year-old woman in Pennycress Place in Northampton when an attempt was made to steal her handbag on Wednesday.
Northamptonshire Police said the girls were charged on Thursday night.
The pair will appear before Northampton Youth Court on 10 October.
