A former Harrogate College lecturer has officially started work as Yorkshire and Humber's first British National Party MEP.

Andrew Brons took his seat in the Strasbourg Chamber as the first session of the new five-year term began.

He was joined by fellow MEP and BNP leader Nick Griffin.
