Motorcyclist killed in tree crash

A motorcyclist has died after losing control of his bike and crashing into a tree in North Yorkshire.

The 44-year-old man was driving on the B1222 Bishop Dyke Road, between Sherburn-in-Elmet and Cawood, when the incident happened on Sunday.

Police said the biker, from Barnsley, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers want to speak to witnesses or anyone who saw a group of bikes or a tractor in the area in the minutes before the crash.
