Police name death crash victims

Police have named a man and woman killed when their car collided with a coach in North Yorkshire.

Deborah Kim Clements, 39 and Paul Clements, 40, from Rawmarsh, near Rotherham, died in the accident on the A64 at Staxton near Scarborough.

The coach was taking children and adults to a marching band competition. Six passengers suffered minor injuries.

The coach driver, a 52-year-old man from Staffordshire, was arrested and has been released on bail.

The coach was travelling from Pelsall, near Walsall, to Primrose Valley holiday park when it was involved in a collision with the Volkswagen Passat on Sunday.

Police have appealed for any witnesses or anyone who saw the movements of the Passat just before the crash to contact them.
