Vandals target commuter rail line

Rail commuters in North and West Yorkshire have been delayed after vandals struck close to a station.

Services on Northern Rail between Leeds, York and Selby were affected by the incident close to Garforth on the outskirts of east Leeds.

Travellers using both Cross Country and Transpennine services also found their travel plans disrupted on Tuesday morning.

National Rail was unable to say when normal services would resume.
