Photos wanted to catch attacker

Detectives hunting a sex attacker who struck at a festival in Scarborough have urged people to send in their photos in a bid to catch him.

Police hope the images will help the 17-year-old victim identify her attacker from the Beached festival in Scarborough's South Bay on Saturday.

It happened as the girl left a temporary toilet block on the beach.

Images and footage should be emailed to beachedpoliceappeal@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk

As well as general shots of the event between 1800 and 2100 BST, officers are particularly interested in footage from mobile phones or photos that show the female toilet block area near the Spa.

At the time of the incident a band called The Ryes were on stage.

The attacker is described as being in his early 20s with short brown hair, piercing blue eyes and a square jaw.

He is believed to be around 5ft 7ins (1.7m) tall and wore a short-sleeved, round collared, light blue t-shirt with a graffiti-style pattern on it.
