New park and ride sites for city
Three new park and ride sites could be built in York as part of a scheme to reduce congestion in the city centre.

The 26m plan would see a facility built on the A59 near Poppleton and another on Wigginton Road.

Under the proposals, the council wants to move the existing Askham park and ride to a larger site, which would more than double the number of spaces.

If councillors approve the project, the authority will put in a bid for funding to the Regional Transport Board.
