Fake guns seized at car boot sale
Replica firearms and three crossbows have been seized from a car boot sale.

Police and trading standards officials said they had confiscated 32 BB guns and £200,000 worth of fake clothing from the sale in Rufforth, York.

Matt Boxall, trading standards manager for York City Council, said the guns were extremely convincing replicas.

He added: "Police firearms officers expressed real concern for public safety if they fell into the wrong hands."
