Youth accused of toddler's murder
A teenage boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of a toddler in North Yorkshire.

The 22-month-old child died from head injuries on 17 May after being taken to Hull General Infirmary from a house on Maple Drive in Scarborough.

The 17-year-old, from the Scarborough area, has also been charged with two sexual offences.

The boy, who cannot be named, was remanded in custody to appear before Scarborough Youth Court on Tuesday.
