Pensioner dies in lorry collision
An 88-year-old man was killed when his car collided with a parked lorry in North Yorkshire.

Jack Carr, from North Rigton, near Harrogate, died when his silver Vauxhall Corsa collided with a stationary Dutch lorry.

Police said the collision, on Wednesday night, happened on the A658 Harrogate to Poole road, just before its turn off to North Rigton.

No one else was injured and police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
