Ferrari crash closes main route
Two people were injured when a Ferrari convertible car crashed off the road between Harrogate and Ripon late on Thursday night.

North Yorkshire Police said the car left the road close to the village of South Stainley.

Both un-named occupants of the sports car, which had hit a tree, were taken to Harrogate hospital for treatment.

The road, a main commuter route, was closed for several hours as officers investigated the cause of the crash.
