Cyclist dies in hit-and-run crash
A cyclist has been killed in a hit-and-run incident in North Yorkshire, police have said.

Officers are trying to identify the man, who was riding on the A658 near Pool in Wharfedale when the accident happened on Sunday evening.

North Yorkshire Police said the man, who was about 50 years old, was hit by a vehicle which failed to stop.

He was taken to hospital where he died. The road was still closed for police investigations on Monday morning.

Officers urged anyone who might know who the man was to come forward.
