Old engine back on right tracks
The Sir Nigel Gresley locomotive
Sir Nigel Gresley is back in service
A famous 69-year-old steam engine is back in action on the tracks after a four-year overhaul.

The Sir Nigel Gresley - named after its designer - is spending the weekend chugging from Grosmont to Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Enthusiasts turned out to welcome the locomotive back into service.

Built in 1937, it was saved from the scrapyard 30 years later by a preservation society - now a trust - which still looks after it.

Sir Nigel Gresley designed many other famous locomotives, including the Flying Scotsman and the Mallard.
