Girl trapped in crash with lorry
Scene of the crash
The accident happened as the people-carrier took a right turn
A Dutch girl has been seriously injured in a crash involving a people-carrier and a lorry in North Yorkshire.

The 11-year-old was trapped in the wreckage of the accident on the A171 at Egton, near Whitby, police said.

Her mother, father and three other children were also injured and taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.

The lorry driver and his passenger were unhurt but the road has been closed and diversions are in place. The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions.
