Hundreds expected at Viking event
A spectacular Viking image is to be projected on to a York landmark to launch the city's annual Jorvik Festival on Wednesday.

Over the next 10 days the public can watch battles and ceremonies being played out, witness a Viking wedding and a river race.

The festival started 21 years ago and hundreds of people are expected to attend the 2006 event.

The light show will be projected on Clifford's Tower.
