A coroner has recorded a verdict of unlawful killing on a British gap year student murdered in Australia.
Caroline Stuttle was in Australia before going to university in the UK
Caroline Stuttle, 19, from York, was killed in Bundaberg, Queensland when she was thrown off a bridge by drug addict Ian Previte in April 2002.
City of York coroner Donald Coverdale formally endorsed the verdict of the Australian court on Thursday.
Lawyers in Queensland acting for Previte say he is seeking a second appeal against his conviction.
Three Court of Appeal judges have already ruled there were no grounds for quashing his conviction.
But now Previte, 32, wants to take his case to Australia's highest court.
