Lottery winner to buy dream bike
Kevin and Diane Downing
Kevin Downing has always wanted a Harley Davidson bike
A Harley Davidson motorbike is one of the first things a lottery winner from York intends to buy with her £4m prize.

Diane Downing, 60, from Acomb won a share of the jackpot in Wednesday's draw but did not realise she was a millionaire until the next day.

Her 62-year-old husband, Kevin, said the win would help him indulge his passion for motorbikes.

He added: "When I retired I gave up bikes but now I intend to get the bike and the leather jacket to go with it."

Mrs Downing, who used to work at Terry's chocolate factory, said: "At the moment all we've decided to do is to pay off our two sons' mortgages and then hopefully find a house for ourselves."

The couple also hope to visit Melbourne in Australia, where Mrs Downing lived for five years, to see old friends.
