Heavy rain is causing river levels to rise across the region

A series of flood watch warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency after heavy overnight rainfall across Yorkshire and the Humber region.
And the agency says predicted weather conditions may cause flooding from rivers and streams in North, South and East Yorkshire over the weekend.
Houses in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire, were flooded when water levels rose dramatically after heavy rain.
Skipton, Gargrave and Stamford Bridge are at risk, warn the agency.
Flash flood
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said they were called to Fishergate in Ferrybridge at 1020 BST when homes were flooded after Wash Dyke rose one and a half metres in half an hour.
Ten houses on the street had up to a foot of water inside the properties and specialist pumping equipment was brought in to deal with the problem.
Electricians from power suppliers were at the scene to check wiring and appliances.
Meanwhile, flood watch warnings have been issued for the River Aire in the Leeds area, along with the rivers Calder, Colne and Spen.
In South Yorkshire the Rivers Don, Dearne, Rother and Sheaf are at possible risk of flooding.
While in East Yorkshire Stamford Bridge faces a threat of a rising River Derwent.
Further east the River Hull, Burstwick Drain at east and West Hedon and areas around Market Weighton are under threat.
