Scooter riders gather for rally

More than 400 scooters are expected in Harrogate on Sunday for the Yorkshire Scooter Alliance's annual rally.

The rally is due to start on the B6162 on the outskirts of Harrogate before heading out into the countryside and back into the town centre.

North Yorkshire Police are expected to escort the ride out as it passes through the town centre.

Organisers said the annual rally, now entering its third year, promised to be their best yet.

A host of different scooters will be involved, including custom-built and mod-style vehicles.
