Power cut hits hundreds of homes
More than 1,500 homes in North Yorkshire were left without power during a blackout on Wednesday night.

Supplies were disrupted to homes in the Grassington and Skipton areas for more than three hours.

A spokeswoman for Yorkshire Electricity Distribution Limited (YEDL) said all but three properties had been reconnected by Thursday morning.

She said engineers were working on a problem with a transformer at Langerton House to restore the power.
