Football fans escape coach fire
Twenty-nine football fans escaped injury when the coach they were travelling in burst into flames in North Yorkshire.

The coach had stopped at Leeming Bar services on the A1 when the fire started on Saturday evening.

North Yorkshire Police said the fans were returning to Burnley after a football match in Sunderland. No-one was injured, they added.

An investigation into what caused the fire is under way.

The southbound carriageway of the A1 was forced to close for "several hours" while the vehicle was recovered.
